Synopsis:

This module presents the highlights of the ISCA Web-Bitez Learning Series on "Building Enterprise Risk Management System to Manage Risks Effectively to Drive Business Performance".

The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic has manifested the painful and deadly consequences of global health scourge. Let us also not forget the severe scars caused by the global financial crisis.

The impact of risks is gaining momentum as its spreads its claws globally leaving devastating consequences in its trail. This accentuates the need for effective risk management.

The speaker will share his extensive risk management experience acquired in both private and public sectors. He will provide guidance on how to build ERM framework and develop a complementary corporate culture to create effective risk management.

Mr Ho is a Chartered Accountant with more than 40 years of extensive and varied financial experience in diverse industries ranging from Big Four accounting firms, Healthcare, REITs, Real Estate, Electronics, Pharmaceutical, Software, and from Multi-National Corporations to companies listed on US and Singapore Stock Exchange to Singapore Public Sector. His extensive experience includes external and internal audit, forensic accounting and investigation, expert witness in High Court, investment, financial planning and management, corporate governance, risk management and CFO functions. He has held C-suite positions in many companies in both private and public sectors and now sits on Audit Committees of companies. He also lectures in the Institute of Higher Learning.
