Course Description

Synopsis:

This module provides foundational knowledge in sustainability reporting, equipping participants with an understanding of key frameworks, regulatory trends, and market practices through real-world case studies. Participants will gain an overview of global reporting requirements and learn to identify material ESG factors.

With this module, you'll build the confidence to:

  • Understand sustainability reporting and explain key concepts and the growing importance of ESG disclosures.
  • Navigate reporting frameworks and understand major sustainability reporting standards with a focus on Singapore's SGX requirements and differences across jurisdictions.
  • Assess Materiality and identify priority ESG issues using tools such as the SASB Materiality Finder and MSCI ESG Industry Materiality Map.
  • Understand the reporting process and explore how environmental and social data is collected, consolidated and calculated for reporting.
  • Apply best practices and learn from leading companies' sustainability reports and recognise common reporting challenges and effective disclosure practices.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends and explore evolving standards, emerging practices and the use of AI in sustainability reporting.
