Dhru Patel is a U.S. CPA and founder of Matzu Research, where he builds AI-agent-coordinated pipelines that translate on-chain activity into GAAP-aligned financial statements for decentralized organizations. Previously, he was an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the San Francisco Asset & Wealth Management practice, where he covered investment fund engagements and tested cryptocurrency-related internal controls. Dhru has various advisory engagements covering protocol design and financial modeling.
He is an Associate Researcher at the University of Oregon Intelligent Futures Lab, studying agentic automation of DAO governance and compliance workflows. His academic work includes a peer-reviewed publication in Business Horizons on the architectural synergies between blockchain and artificial intelligence.
