Synopsis:
This module shows participants how to independently verify digital asset claims using publicly available blockchain data. Through a live walkthrough of USDC stablecoin supply and reserve reconciliation, participants learn a repeatable five-step procedure: verify the wallet, read the smart contract, trace mint and burn events, pull the issuer's monthly attestation, and reconcile across all chains.
The module is grounded in Singapore-specific regulatory context, including IRAS digital token classifications, the MAS Stablecoin (SCS) framework, MAS DPT licensing, and CARF reporting obligations taking effect 1 January 2027. It also covers where on-chain evidence is strong (existence and occurrence) and where it leaves gaps (completeness, valuation, rights, classification under SFRS(I) standards).
