Course Description

Synopsis:

Digital media is now deeply embedded in family life, shaping how children learn, socialise, and relax. Developed in collaboration with Bamboo Builders as part of SG ScamWISE, this module offers working professionals a clear and balanced understanding of the pros and cons of media use within families, with a focus on practical, realistic strategies for today’s digital environment.

Participants will explore approaches to managing screen time at home, recognising early warning signs of gaming addiction, and understanding how excessive or unregulated media use can affect behaviour, attention, and well-being. The module draws on relatable scenarios and local context to help parents and caregivers make informed decisions without relying on extreme restrictions.
