Synopsis:
Generative AI is reshaping how information is created, shared, and trusted — introducing new risks that financial and accounting professionals must understand. Developed in collaboration with Bamboo Builders as part of SG ScamWISE, this module provides a practical overview of how deepfake and Gen AI content is produced, how harmful low-quality content (“AI-slop”) has evolved, and why these developments pose growing concerns for trust, verification, and decision-making.
Participants will learn to recognise common indicators of AI-generated and manipulated content, understand the broader social and political implications of Generative AI, and examine how misinformation and impersonation can impact institutions, markets, and professional credibility. Realistic examples and local case references are used to ground these risks in everyday contexts.
