The 16th edition of the ISCA Pre-Budget Roundtable was held on 14 January 2025.
Themed “Building a Vibrant and Resilient Economy in Uncertain Times”, our highly anticipated annual roundtable had a diverse panel of 15 speakers and over 100 attendees—representing government agencies, business leaders, and accountancy & finance professionals. Together, we explored various economic concerns, possible risks as well as solutions, and how our national needs can be addressed in the upcoming Budget 2025 to align with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s vision of building a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready Singapore.
Co-chaired by Mr Liang Eng Hwa, Chairperson, Government Parliamentary Committee (Finance, Trade and Industry) and Mr Don Wee, FCA (Singapore), Council Member of ISCA, the vibrant dialogue provided invaluable insights and practical recommendations on supporting businesses in this climate of uncertainty driving sector-specific application of artificial intelligence, promoting professional skills-based volunteerism and effectively harnessing the experience of seniors as Singapore transitions towards becoming a super-aged society.
