Khoon Guan (“KG”) is the Founder and Senior Advisor of Precursor Assurance LLP, one of Singapore’s top 25 accounting firms. Since establishing the firm in 2006, he has guided its transformation into a trusted professional services provider known for innovation, client excellence, and forward-looking solutions. A Chartered Accountant of Singapore, Accredited Tax Practitioner, Chartered Valuer and Appraiser, and ACCA member, KG brings more than 15 years of expertise across finance, auditing, and corporate advisory.

Under his leadership, Precursor has achieved multiple industry accolades, including the Innovation Award (2016) and Best Practice Award (2018) at the Singapore Accountancy Awards, as well as the Singapore Quality Class with People certification in 2020. The firm’s in-house SmartCursors platform has also been recognised for redefining accounting services through digitalisation.

KG has been widely acknowledged for his contributions to the industry. He was named among Singapore Business Review’s “40 under 40 Most Influential Professionals” and featured in The Business Times’ Leaders of Transformation. In 2019, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat recognised him as a Leader of Transformation at the Enterprise 50 Awards. He also received NTU’s Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2014 for his professional achievements.

Beyond Precursor, KG actively shapes the future of accountancy as a speaker, advisor, and committee member. He has served on the Council of ISCA, the Singapore Accountancy Commission’s Advisory Council, and, most recently, ISCA’s Artificial Intelligence Taskforce. Today, he continues to champion innovation, professional excellence, and sustainable growth within Singapore’s accounting landscape.
